Bathroom units

Not really sure which forum to put this in as its bathroom units installed by tradesmen which doesnt seem to fall into any other category! Anyway, I had a leak in the bathroom resulting in a new bathroom floor and vanity units among other things - all done on insurance. These have been fitted this week but I think its an appalling installation - see the pictures in this gallery:

i would not be happy with the install. did the installer give a reason why they left such a big gap between the two units? try posting on the joinery or plumbing forums as they will have better info on this subject.
