Hi

I will be doing my bathroom in the new year so getting ready....

I have come across too many ads promoting these new for me panels, think they are plastic man made material. I don't like them from what I have seen so far, I don't like plasticky staff in general...I understand they are cheaper than tiles to buy and fit but don't think they're economical long term. And my question is:

Are wall panels worth it or are they gimmick?

Thanks

They've been used commercially for decades, largely as a hygienic wall finish in kitchens, hospitals etc, it's only relatively recently that they've become more popular in the domestic market as more varied patterns/colours have become available. They are effective if installed correctly. Probably best to go and find some in a few showrooms to see what you think.

I was looking at the prices; sqm of wall tiles is of similar price to a PVC shower panel. I guess panels cheaper to install?

Just watched a how to fit video, not in favour tbh because of the amount of silicone, adhesives and trims used in the installation, so many places can go wrong in the future and cause leaks?
