The emulsion on the bathroom wall began to peel off due to moisture. I stripped the peeling stuff and then painted over the plaster and some of the old paint with moisture proof emulsion. However the next day this also peeled.
Can anyone recommend preparation technique for the wall and whether I need a type of primer?

I had a similar problem in my old bathroom. try this it worked for me.

Rub the peeling paint down as much as possible. Ventilate the bathroom for a day or two, don't bath or shower. Prime the rubbed down area using a pva solution. about 10 parts water to 1 part pva. Allow to dry thorughly. Paint with emulsion.

You also need to ventilate the bathroom regularly to clear the damp.
