Batten lamp holder with switch?

Is it possible to buy a batten lamp that has a built-in switch (to go on the wall above a work bench)? I'm imagining something like:

How about florescent or led batton instead?
The type that go under kitchen units typically have a switch on them.
And you can get different lengths (or connect them together) to match you workbench length.

It's easy enough to fit an external pullcord.

Use a mirror light! Bonus point - you get a shaver outlet

On a serious note, you could add little miniature pullcord switch like they use in mirror lights onto a fluorescent batten rather than fitting an external one if it was a big deal.

Yes I could. Just seems like unecessary to install two things instead of all-in-one! I guess the EU has outlawed those old pull-cord lamps, or something!

No, but the number of standard sized fluorescent battens (2/ 4/ 6/ 8 foot) fitted with pullcords was (and still is, AFAICT) non-existent.

There used to be a slimline 3 foot fitting with a pullcord made by Thorn which was superseded by a model without:
