Just been watching the news, and this story came up. 50 years since it happened, and I had never heard about it.

Yeah, I was living in London at that time, but I was only 6!

I admit to having forgotten about it but when I saw the headline it immediately came back to me.
Sadly no one has ever been charged with any offences, criminal, neglect or any other yet the inspectors found so many faults when they investigated.

I vaguely recall the ride, one of the first few times we were in london as we had an aunt here. We lived on Harrogate at the time and kids at shcool thought that we'd been to the usa when they found out we'd been to london where the queen lived.

Not been to the park since around that time but driven past it many times. I thought the fair was still there - sad re accident.
