Battery charging, times don't seem to add up.

... but if the battery voltage is raising then some of that charge must be going into the battery. There is a change taking place.
I'm a bit confused by this 'voltage rising' business. I thought you were saying that the oscillation between 2W and 3W happened when the voltage had got to 13.5V. Are you saying that the voltage rises beyond that?

At 14.4 volts the charger will switch off, until volts hit 12.8 volts when it will auto turn on again, should it hit 15 volt it assumes leads disconnected and will switch total off, same below 3.7 volt it will not switch on.
