Hi,

can anyone confirm that the above unit will be suitable for use as an extractor fan directly into a chimney in our kitchen - the chimney is capped but has a fair draft blowing up, but not sufficient (according to our joiner) for the extractor fan to not be required.

We're planning to build a frame for the extractor to sit in.

May be a fire hazard if the grease runs back down the chimney and ignites, the filters stop 90% of it if washed regularly, but rarely are.A ducting would be safer.

unfortunately ducting isn't really an option

The cooker is going to be in the fireplace, which we've had widened and the front lifted, and a new lintel inserted. The cooker is electric - as unfortunately the gas companies don't deliver to our rural location.

We are prepared to regularly wash the filters, so that isn't too much of a concern

hi tony- I have only purchased their stuff once- build quality and customer services are awful. Can you not find a decent german made one?
