Hi father in law's baxi's playing up. It will fire up for a minute then stop with "overheat" light warning. Pump and 2 port valve are OK (we've had motor head of the later off to enure it wasn't sticking) and we've felt heat albeit briefly in airing cupboard. condenser outlet :roll: pipe is clear

Any ideas what else we could try ? Gas board are coking out on Boxing day, but I don't like to see the OAPs without heat over Xmas, particular with this weather
 
You need to check whether theres water in the system. Check F&E cistern in loft or repressurize if sealed system.
