Fixing up a dilapidated house. The boiler is however fairly new Baxi128. Issue: Turn the hot water tap on and nothing comes out. Leave it on then run the cold Tap then the hot tap starts to flow and gets hot. It does judder a bit however initially. (My only thoughts are diverter valve or trapped air) . Any ideas are most welcomed thanks Rob

Turning on the hot tap results in no water whatsoever running from it ? Or water does run but it's just not hot ?
Just an issue with one tap ,or all others the same ?

Its all new pipes, just one tap at the moment, the reset are just capped off, some water flows when it feels like it but just a dribble turn on the cold tap then the hot flows and it does get hot thanks

It the tap a mixer ? Or two seperate taps ?
If the former ,it sounds like the cold tap is connected to the hot pipework ,and cold isn't connected at all .

Separate taps The pipes are tracible, from meter to boiler , hot an cold all is connected correctly and hot water comes out of the hot tap when working, its like the cold tap when open kick starts the hot tap bit strange.

If no water at all ,or hardly any ,flows out the hot tap it's probably the tap that the problem. Is it an old tap ?

Wait for it....... Drum Roll......... it was the feck*!g tap . Thanks chaps another boiler mystery solved
