Fraid not - however, just the sort of post I'd expect from an uninformed retatrd

Allmaecht - there are some clueless fitters out there

There is also some useless electronics engineers too.........

Trust me...You do not know it all.

If your manhood was as big as your head you be quite the pornstar. Unfortunaly you just have a big head with a brain lacking social skills cells.

From reading your previous posts its quite clear that you do have a clue about electronics on boilers.

But you are clearly "clueless" when it comes to respecting people.

Where's the REAL smart ass answer then, don't see any one else offering advice, only criticism [/quote]

Hi is smart because he knows what he is talking about.

So whats the part no for the suppresor is it a baxi part? or is it on the board.
If you have got 85-90 volts on switched live, then your valve is wired up wrong.

Good work Geoff.

Free advice from an expert and no credit for it!

I admire you

I never claimed to

however, I find the arrogant attitude taken by certain GOSKs here annoying, so I think it's important to bring them back down to earth

I don't know everythng and you should have noticed I rarely give advice on matters on which I consider I have useful experience

When some window licker tries to be a little clever (well in his little mind) and says things like "that raden is such a t*at... still lives at home with his mum and soldering iron.." I will make a point of taking him down

You'l get back what you give

From memory, as the valve moves it sends out aprox 85 - 90v ac, (measured at the boiler switched live) enough to upset the relay but not enough to start the boiler sequence, only trying to help!

To the switched live on the pcb ?

HEY!

Who's the real expert - I got a real problem here, can anyone help PLEASE>>>>>>>>>>>>.

When you get the noise
measure the voltage on the PCB
switched live to neutral or earth
what does it read?

That's isn't CORGI baiting of course, merely a criticism of one RGI, and one who is also his customer. The fact that he posts this kind of comment about a customer says a lot about his business attitude.

If CORGI were in any way responsible, they would make sure that their members had a clue what they were doing before letting them loose on peoples' gas appliances
raden might want CORGI to be responsible, but it isn't - not in law or otherwise. CORGI's remit is to manage the register of RGIs, which involves verifying credentials, not testing competence in fault finding.

I'm surprised that raden doesn't know this.

When a car driver makes a foolhardy mistake, is the DVLA responsible?

So whats the answer to this problem, just been to one today with this fault and the switch live is about 120Vac and P.C.B. relay is chattering until the valve moves completly over to heating then 240Vac then stops.
Will a new ACL Drayton valve do the same, what about a Honeywell, anybody got an answer to this?

Read my first post
Changing the valve to a different make should cure it
I've only known it to happen on ACL valves
