Baxi 80 eco fault!

hi can anyone please help me with a faulty boiler?
the burner is lighting, the pump is running, but only stays on for 15-20 sec then cuts off the burner but the pump carries on running. the pipe out of the boiler (CH Flow) is scalding hot, but the return to the pump is cold to tepid. i have checked the pump and it is running ok. any ideas?

Heating and hot water or just heating?

Pumps can spin but not circulate. See FAQs.

You may have a blockage in the heating pipe work, or air lock.

The hot water is working (but not getting too hot), the radiators will get hot above the boiler but the ones below are stone cold. i have flushed water through the system and all is clear. while draining down i noticed that the low pressure pin on the DV was'nt dropping off, therefore the boiler will run with no water in!! i have ordered a new DV and will replace it on wednesday.

Check the filter in the return valve also you proballay have a blocked plate heat ex as well.
