I have the above back boiler- just moved into the house and want to replace the fire front cos its ghastly!!!

I have looked on baxi website and this model seems to be compatible with replacement fronts but they seem to be rather pricey- does anywhere know of a good supplier of fire fronts compatible with this boiler?

Also, is it possible to remove the fire- leaving access to the boiler, and put an electric front on???

the only fires available are made by baxi. whatever is on the website are all the options you have.

it is not possible to remove the fire and leave the back boiler in situ.

it is currently an outset fire front- does it have to be replaced with this- or can you change to an inset??

an outset can only be replaced with an outset.

an inset can only be replaced with an inset.

your boiler is likely to be anywhere between 10 and 25 years old and although they last the distance well the only reason parts are still available is because of the massive numbers they produced.

virtually all of the outset fires were ghastly 70's looking things.

Search the net for replacements . you can put the boiler number 552 in aswell as these also fit .Only about 9 fires fit

Fire fronts on their own cost nearly as much as the complete unit with back boiler unit in my experience

YEP baxi baroque about 350 baxi vp 700 same fire minor diff to flue where is the justification
