Baxi boiler - heating comes on with hot water

Hi, for some srange reason whenever I put the hot water on, the central heating automatically comes on as well, despite being turned off at the control box. Not a problem in winter but it is annoying me now as I cant have the hot water on without the house getting roasting warm (no doubt costing me a small fortune in gas as well!)

Can anyone help?

Your mid-position valve or 2 port valve is passing. Which do you have?

Hi, thanks for replying.

I have an 'acl Lifestyle' Mid Position Valve. Does this need changing or does the switch on the side do anything?

The lever on the end is there to jam it in mid-position manually. Unless someone has done this it'll just be passing and need replacing.
