Baxi Combi 80e - HW only when CH is on

Greetings, and a happy new year to all.

Over the festive period i changed the diaphragm on my brothers boiler after he was getting no HW, the diaphragm was indeed split. You get get HW but only when the CH is on....in HW only mode the HW disappears around the CH circuit. He said it was like that for as long as he could remember

One wonders why you want to involve yourself with your relative's boiler!

Mending just the diaphragm does not take into account how the rest of the diverter valve is working.

There are lots of threads about these problems and one just in the last few days. You will learn more if you read some of them.

Diverter valve is most likely unless plate exchanger was completly blocked then it would be showing other symptoms, can either strip clean and grease O rings or if that dont work replace it
