Hi,have recently started to get fluctuating hot and cold water temperature when in the shower which has never been an issue before,it operates of a mixer tap which is cleaned regularly.The boiler is only a year and a half old,this water temperature does not seem to flutuate when basin taps call for hot water.Was wondering if anyone has any ideas please?I was thinking maybe thermister/cleaning of heat exchanger possibly.

Won't be the plate hex as you state the basin tap is fine . Sounds like it's your shower at fault

Not enough flow through the shower head, the mains water is warmer this time of year and your boiler cant modulate down far enough so it switches off and then back on again, try a bigger shower head or maybe cleaning the one you got.
