Hi Guys, I'd really appreciate some help. My boiler a Baxi duo tec 40 combi has just decide to pack up and now I have hot water but no heating.
The pressure gauge was 0.5 so I repressurised hoping that would fix the problem but it's still the same; hot water zero heat.
I've tried resetting, turning the whole system off and on, checking the timer and everything in-between. I don't have a users manual to call on, I suspect the previous owners ditched it.
I have no idea what the problem could be or where to go from here. I'm a woman on my own and last time I had a problem with a boiler I was well and truly fleeced and ended up having to buy a new boiler when it turned out that all that was needed was a new pump so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

When you call for C/Heating is the wee radiator flashing on the front of the boiler Alison?

Thank you PBOD, what sort of price am I looking at if it is a diverted valve?
Hi PG, nope, no lights at all when I turn the CH on.

What, there's no flashing Led when calling for heat?
Any 'E' error codes in the wee window?

Lol, sorry PG, hypothermia is numbing my brain, yes there are display windows but when I turn on the CH they don't light up.
Thank you so much for the manuals PBOD.

Do you have a wireless thermostat ? Make/model would be helpfull. First try changing the batteries.

Hi Gigz, I do have a wireless thermostat, it's a baxi and I've changed the batteries.

When you turn the thermostat up does the green light come on on the boiler display ? And do you have a condense pump ?

Have you got it switched to both HW & CH on the selector switch & have you tried to reset the boiler?

Thank you all for your help and input but I guess it's time to call British gas out and hope it's an easy fix that won't cost the earth or results in a new boiler. Thanks to you guys I can at least I can pretend I have a little knowledge so fingers crossed I won't get ripped off again.
Merry Christmas and a happy peaceful amd prosperous 2016.

Sounds like you're stat and reciever need re-marrying. It'll tell you how to do this in the instructions. Google them if you don't have them. You would know if you had a condense pump as you would hear it kicking in every now and again.
