im guessing....

your boiler was fitted to the old radiator system, with no protection for the boiler such as a magnaclean.

you could try washing out the plate heat x

Yes it was,
potterton out baxi in,
it was only a couple of months old (but unused) when fitted (a week ago!) but the fitter quite rightly has said he only fitted it and never supplied it so its not really his problem :(

classic

all the crap in your old system is now working its way to your new boiler

at the very least

get some decent cleanser in the system and let it run for a week or so

then drain

and you will still have to clean the plate h ex out

The problem is it wont run,
it ignites then speeds up to 99 degrees while making all sorts of noises then switches off!! :( no hot water... no CH :?: :?:

Check the auto air vents are open, one on top of boiler and one on top of pump.

Just checked pump and it is very hot for something thats not pumping hot water!! are these a sealed for life unit? can you remove and align spindle to check it spins in pump?
thanks for all the answers so far!! ;)
