Too late to call Baxi and want to sort this problem out for a family with a young baby.

Gold 24HE 47 590 05 has come up with the following faults, all of which not listed in the MI's

E131
E168

The boiler has worked after reset and all seems to be fine. Am checking the appliance over now, combustion etc

Any pointers

Thanks in advance

Revenge of the BG engineer.......

Gather now that E168 relates to a Pump, GV, Ign or poss PCB fault.

All working now so the customer suggested that he call in the warranty.

Result..... I'll close the job down then.

Thank goodness for technology, how else would you narrow the faults down to so few, just change each component till it works, there all cheap after all.

E168 NORMALLY equates to the ignition probe being to far spaced, and its a 3 quid part which is easily fixed with an allen key, sounds like this is your fault as you can get the boiler running which pretty much allienates the PCB, PUMP, or GV

Er.....nope. For once you have lived up to your user name

168 will almost always be cured by a new board. Sometimes it indicates problems with the components listed or even a wiring harness issue but trust me unless you have tested said components and they indicate a fault just change the pcb.

And for info it's E133 that will indicate an ignition issue which may also be the electrodes.
