We've noticed recently, our Baxi Solo 2 PF boiler (with hot water tank) has started making some strange noises. There seem to be two separate issues (though they may be related).
The first is a noise that sounds like it might be bearings of some sort. It occasionally comes and goes when the boiler is on, though will usually stop after it's been on for approx 45 mins. We don't get this every time we heat the hot water/use the heating:

The second noise/issue, sometimes happens when the boiler is first turned on. It seems to go through a cycle of turning it self on and off a few times (with clunks/clicks each time) before coming on properly. The link below is to the last two of these clunks/clicks the last time this happened. It was the same day as the above noise too - hence the high pitched noise afterwards).

(both recordings sounds a little harsher than the sounds in real life)
The boiler is approx 21 years old, so I'm not sure if it's time to bite the bullet and switch out for a combi (where we'll be able to finally have showers without them going cold!!!)
Any thoughts?
