Baxi Solo 2 RS

We are having problems with this boiler.
All summer we have had the hot water on timer, now that we have switched on the central heating we're getting problems.
The pilot light goes out unexpectedly and we have difficulty in re-lighting it.
2 questions
What is causing the pilot light to go out?
(our plumber says we have a windy boiler)
Why can't we relight it?

May I sugest a heating engineer (with a small dog) over a plumber?

Sounds like a partially blocked jet, or wrong pilot gassing, but it could be other things..

How often does the flame go out? how hard is it to relight? what does the flame look like? Is it making any odd noises?

We had a few problems last year & replaced the thermacouple & had a new pump & it seemed to settle down.

We've had the heating on now for 3-4 weeks. The pilot went out last week and was re-lit on Sunday - now it's gone out again. We had the heating on 24hr just to try & eliminate the timer switch!!

We've tried to re-light it 20/30 times but nothing is happening.
We're considering calling BAXI direct - is this a good idea?

The flame (when lit - is a small blue flame).

Can't say for definite about any noises which may help you. Only noises in the pipes - but not all the time.
