fuse blew in mains plug leading to the timer replaced fuse, everthing works but the boiler will not relight and tried to reset without any success
any ideas

thanks :?

is it electronic ignition, what is actually happening when you say everything works

the clock works
the bolier light is on

but when i switch the clock to turn the central heating on nothing happens
yes it is a elctronic ignition

Yep i think i know this one. Cant remember the exact whereabouts on this boiler but there is a manual reset on the boiler a small red button press this in and you should get the boiler back on.

does it come on for the water? im guessing no, is the stat on the boiler turned up. The 2amp fuse on the pcb may have blown also.. but im not sure whether the boiler light would come on, does the pump run?? if the pump is running it maybe your fan has had it, try blowing/sucking down the air pressure switch tubes

it says in the manual that i have to reset by swithching the dial to 0 for ten seconds then turning the dial to the desired number 1-6 this still does not work looked every where for a small red ignition switch but to no avail

using a multi meter, check you have 240v at swiched live.........only do this is your capable of using a multimeter.....

the overheat reset is on the left hand side of the black box which has your control knob on it i think

u didnt say if the pump was running?? or if the 2amp fuse was blown. is there any smell coming from the board like a component is burnt out?

When you say you have a mega flow system that runs your hot water is it directly heated by imersions or do you have a motorise valve which opens and closes depepnding on the demand from the clock and cylinder stat. Also it is very possible that the fan in the baxi solo blew the fuse in the first place and this could be why no ignition sequence will commence. Let me know how you get on.
