You're probably better off posting this on roofing & guttering, since plumbers don't do this sort of work anymore (too busy filling in forms!), although you might find the odd ancient specimen on here who can remember the good old days (but not where he left his glasses) when plumbers actually plumbed (worked with lead - plumbum).
Hi chris,
Well I did have this in the roofing section you mentioned but did not seem to get any response, so me thinking that I was pretty cute moved it to here, oh well, maybe I will leave it here for a bit, then move it back to the roofing section !!! Cheers for the info
Try HERE A long time ago when I was a little Sluglet the Lead developement association had a book out that showed you the applications of lead. Although if you could get your hands on it there would be information on how it goes together but if you can't bash up a corner or lead weld you will struggle. I could bash up a corner but I would struggle nevertheless compared to someone who did this line of work for a living. There's not a lot of em about but have a ring round a few roofing firms for advice.
Dont attempt to DIY unless you first learn to either bash up a corner or weld lead unless you want it to look like a pigs ear.
