1930’s semi detached property. I’m currently re-decorating. Upon removing plaster and wallpaper I revealed large cracks. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Very common and nothing to worry about.
The wall under the tiles is often just a lightweight brick-on-edge skin reinforced with timber uprights. Might have moved a bit when the new pvc windows were installed.
Just pack with expanding foam to keep the draughts out.
