BBC weatherman mention and showed a chart of accumulated rainfall, but failed to mention accumulated over how long. It could be a day, week, month, annual, or even so far in 2023. Anyone know what the period it is accumulated over?

Which I take to mean, "over the coming week".
Might be an indicator of localised flooding in places, or topping up in previously "parched" areas.
No, instead I wound it back, and it said nothing about the period. I assumed it must be monthly rainfall.
