I have put four posts in the ground, they are 3 metres apart (2.3 metres high, 100 x 100 pressure treated timber).

I want to attach beams between the posts.

What size should the beams be; 150 x 50?

Should I just screw them straight into the posts using coach screws, or coach bolts?

Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.

50 x 150 will look best with those posts. Easiets way is to screw them at the desired height with normal screws to get the height right. you can then add coach screws etc it you want them to look a bit more fancy.
