A number of bees seem to be nesting under my bungalow eaves.
How can I discourage them without harming them.

dont think you can.if its in the eaves then you wont even be able to get to the queen to remove the hive.

If its a swarm then a local beekeeper might be the best bet.

i would leave them well alone and they'll be gone soon enough. they are white tailed bumble bees? i have them nesting under the eaves every year early summer but they dont hang about for long and as busy as their swarms seems they never get aggressive and they are well gone by mid summer. just be grateful that they are not wasps!

bee keepers will happily come and collect them for you as someone has already said.

just dont poison them!
