BEKO TLS 480 Fridge don't think getting colder when adjusted

I have a BEKO fridge, however my milk seemed to be going off early and I thought the kids may have moved the dial. However I have turned it to 4 and I dont think its getting any colder. Have I turned it the wrong way. Dial goes from 1-5. I was assuming 5 was the coldest setting.

Yes 5 is colder than 1, if the fridge is not getting colder then you may have a faulty thermostat, but they usually stop chilling all together if it goes. Does it need de-frosting?

Its still chilling but doesnt seem very cold. Its only a fridge. They dont need defrosting?

Some fridges have an ice-box & do not have auto defrost so require defrosting if there is a large build up of ice. Do you have a fridge thermometer to measure how cold it is getting compared with what the instuction manual says it should be. The only other thing may be a shortage of refridgerant gas but you will need some body with the correct equipment to do that.
