beko washing macnot draining and now not spinning

i am completely useless when it come to household appliances so my dad had a look at my washing machine as it would not drain, he found some coins and fluff clogging it up somewhere and switched the machine back on but it wouldn't spin, is there anything else he could try before i have call someone out, the garantee only ran out end of last month... !!!!

I presume the coins and fluff came from the coin trap/filter

Check to make sure the drain pump impeller is free to rotate (it should run when drain or a spin cycle is selected) as objects can get caught in the impeller preventing the machine being drained.
