Belling cooker hood CHIM 60SS

My cooker hood is about 5 years old and hasn't been working for a long time. Nothing works on it - no pilot, bulbs or fan. Any ideas what's wrong and how to repair? Can I do it myself or do I need a spark?

Have you checked the fuse in the spur......if it has such a connection?
Failing that, I reckon its a case of getting in there with the mains tester.
If its a built in unit, the first port of call is the switch on the pull open door.
Edit....I guess its the chimney type, so ignore the last ramblings.
