Nearly finished my timber frame for composite decking, none of the wood Will be touching the floor as I am using plastic legs etc, the timber is C16 treated and I have used some cut edge treatment for any cuts, is there any benefit to treating it all over with some product before I finally fit the composite over it please?

Thank you for reading.

The more protection you have the longer it will last. Just don't make it that thick that it cracks and peels as it warms up and cools down

I used BlackJack, 2 coats. It stank, but seems to have worked, 2 years on.

A dedicated decking oil will boost the timber protection without stinking or being mean to the environment.
