I see nothing wrong with the set up, there are disadvantages and advantages with loft aerials and with splitters at set and splitter near aerial, so if it works great.
Yes the splitter from the loft aerial can be situated near the aerial Eric (probably just as well as the signal is most likely weaker on the loft aerial). But I would only gain approx 2 x meters nearer the Roof aerial if I routed the coax under the eves and into the loft to make the split before dropping down to the set, so was hoping that would suffice. Thanks Eric. Still in the process of decorating some rooms so not had chance to complete just yet.
