Best lead soil pipe flashing tile ??

Hi,

Hope someone can help me with this one please ??

I'm having an extension done, and have to vent the 110mm soil pipe through a lower pitched roof. Can anyone recommend the BEST lead flashing tile for this purpose ??

The tiles are Cedral Thrutone cement slate roof tiles 600x300mm.

I don't want any old sh!te, I'm looking for a quality, long lasting product that is going to be weather and water tight for many years.

Is a Rolls Royce better than a Lada......YES !! So the combination of a good quality, long lasting, rubber collar, and how it fixes to the lead to make a watertight connection makes all the difference to me. To others, they may not give a flying f*ck, but I do.....I like quality products. So as a homeowner, with no roofing knowledge, that has to buy a flashing tile I come on here to hopefully get a sensible, professional answer from people with years of roofing knowledge. Hope that answers your question ??

Your material snobbery is new to me. But it's even more bizarre that you are asking for the BEST lead slate and yet you are using a mediocre poor performance roof tile that is no where near the BEST. Some flashband will do with those tiles.

Lead is lead. It's coded by thickness to give a standard for performance. One piece of code 5 will perform exactly the same as any other.

And yet you are showing interest in a composite lead slate made of two different materials one of which does not last as long as the other!

I'm not sure such a product will get you the bragging rights in conversation.

Proper leadburned slate unbeatable we make our own plus some specialised one's for others.
All lead the same? Same material but working milled - machine cast or sand cast can be very different.
