I would like to remove a soil pipe vent that is no longer used as it's been replaced by an air admittance valve. It's a pretty standard pitched roof built from trusses covered with concrete tiles and there's lead flashing around the plastic vent pipe "tile". Is this a reasonable DIY task working on a ladder? The vent is probably 30 cm from the ridge.

Depends on your diy skills and comfort zones working at heights.

Anyway remove the tiles either side and above the lead slate, remove pipe, lead, patch in the felt, batten and tile over. simple enough.

Thanks for the reply. Should have mentioned I have reasonably good DIY skills and working from heights in OK but not something I chase after. :)
