Hi, I've got a 90/100 yr old building , it's got a few areas of paint that keeps flaking off, on a ground floor flat,
on the side of a dis used chimney breast, which has a vent fitted.
Maybe slight damp area, ? I think I used damp seal around 18 months ago on it.
And in several other areas of the room the paint looks like theres a crack in the wall horizontally but when you peel the paint off theres a barely detectable hairline crack.
Plaster looks like it was re done before I bought it 7 years ago.
There are also vertical cracked paint ines continuing down from the window to the floor.
I've found several other areas in the building where the paint just flaked off because the fresh plaster wasn't sealed before painting.
But I dont think the chimney is due to that as I scraped it off last time.
Any ideas please ?
