My brother was a student at Brum Poly early 90s. Loved it there. Had digs (fleapit) on Bearwood Rd in Hagley. He still speaks a bit of Brum and misses the baltis.

Dawley is somewhere around Telford - not Black Country - so perhaps your F-i-L "emigrated" to Dawley from proper BC?
