I've got loads of little nails and pins in the floorboards and staircase that I want to remove without damaging the wood too much.
I've got a little pry bar thing and some nail pincers but take quite a lot of time and can damage the wood a fair bit, is there a better tool to have for doing this?
Thanks
Jim

If they really are only small nails and pins then the best thing I've found is a pair of small side cutters, although thinking about it end cutters might be even better.
You can also doctor an old pair of carpenter's pincers on the grinder to give a sharp protruding "corner"
Use a piece of spring steel or similar to protect the wood from levering. Either a cabinet scraper or a piece cut from an old hand saw etc.
