Hi,

In my plan I'm ending up with the floor (18mm chip) overhanging the last joist by about 8-9 in. I reckon I need to support that. I can't add an extra joist/noggin, that is a H between the joist so the bar of the H supports the edge. I'm blocked from inserting the right hand vertical of the H.

So what's the best/easiest way? I could screw shelf brackets to the joist but would that be strong/stiff enough? I could make triangles of joist and screw through. Or something else?

I'm inclined toward screwfix brackets, 30268, which are 147kg (a pair I assume, so 70kg each) and then fit those every 8 in say (since I have to buy 10). I could use screws or even bolts through the joist with a penny washer behind and loktite nuts (perhaps just a bolt at the top).
