best way to connect 10mm fastfit pipe to bathroom taps with 1/2"

Hi,
Sorry for the novice question, but my house is 10mm plastic pipe and I have bought new taps which have tail connectors that finish with 15mm female connection. The existing taps have a very small approx 13mm connector which obviously won't fit. Having looked around, I am tempted to put a 10mm to 15mm reducer, then a very short bit of 15mm copper followed by 15mm tap connector, but it seems long winded!
