As far as Gaza is concerned they got their country back in 2005, then went on to elect a terrorist govt which launched at least 5 or 6 major attacks (not including the 1000's of smaller rocket attacks) against Israel culminating in the Ocober 7th invasion and massacre.

Could be, but they were given a golden opportunity in 2005 when all Israeli settlers were evicted by force (by Israel) and they responded by voting for Hamas who to some degree were allowed to flourish by Israel as a counter force to the PLO. Lets not forget Oct 7th was something like the 5th or 6th war they started against Israel.
It doesn't need a magic wand, it just needs them to stop attacking Israel and reject encouragement from malign players like Iran.

Hamas, (and Houthis, Hezbollah, etc) seem to mount limited but specific counter attacks. But Israel's action is insidious, incremental but tenuous nonetheless.
