Hi,

I have a problem with my Glowworm Betacom 24c which just presented itself this evening..

Trying to run a bath for my daughter tonight, but I was getting no hot water. Checked the boiler and it hadn't ignited. None of the temperature LEDs were on. I tried resetting it and turning it off and back on, but the issue remained.

I fired on the central heating and it burst into life. The temp LEDs started coming on one-by-one, so I turned on one of the hot water taps. Once the heated water started coming out, the temp on the boiler started falling until no LEDs were on. Water was also cold again when I checked.

Not really sure where to go from here..

The aqua sensor has probably seized. It can sometimes be regressed but not often. The new part number is 0020014160

Thanks GuessMan - at £7, it's quite a cheap fix. The question is, is it an easy fix?

Sorry wrong no 0020061608

Bit fiddly but doable and less than £20

You only need to change the white rotor black cap and clip on sensor.

If this is similar to the Vizo its not a DIY job because the gas valve needs to be removed to access it.

If that's the case, I'll get a pro in to do it... I'd rather not kill everyone...

True it is easier with the gas valve out, but possible without, as I saiid fiddly.

But at least you won't get robbed on the part. ;)
