Our bathroom ceiling gets very wet and moldy. We need a new fan but is it advisable to opt for the more powerful option and what should I look for?

The bathroom is 6ft by 7ft by 7ft.

It sounds like you have more fundamental problems with an excessively humid house which the largest fan may not be able to remove.

What is above the bathroom?

The loft is insulated unfaced glass mineral wool roll.

We only have 1 Bathroom, all other bedrooms are OK.

It seems that the shower/bath is the cause of the issue.

That may be the source of the water vapour, but not why the ceiling is wet.

Is the house generally well ventilated?

How is it heated?

How is washing dried?

If the old one is broken, then yes, you do.

The biggest and most powerful you can fit in there.

Ignore all published guidelines from fan makers and sellers about how many air-changes per hour you should go for.
