BGmpsv-23 pcb removal

hi all
i'm new here so I might be asking in the wrong place
I have a British Gas BGMPSV-23 mid position actuator which is faulty, ive tested the motor which works ok and i'm now looking to remove the pcb so that i can test the micro switches (the resistors and diode also test ok)
i did think it would just slide out but something is stopping that happening
any help would be much appreciated (i'm an electronics eng.)

Why do you need to remove the pcb? Afaik you can just test voltages when demands created which will confirm if the switches are making or not.

BG MVSP-23 aka Drayton MA1 mid position valve. Yep... Check that NO closes and opens as expected positions are reached via a multimeter.

Only ever worked on the MA5 2-port version. But once the motor etc is removed then PCB access is pretty straightforward I think? Check the actuating plastic 'pips' are clean and grease free... On the MA5 I fixed they stuck 'calling for heat' with no mechanical input. Cleaning didn't help for very long.

hi again Chris your picture proved vey useful, i have been able to establish that its the lower of the two micro switches which is faulty so if i cant remove the pcb then i'll need to buy a replacement unit. Do you have any ideas

Hi Dave,

Rodders above said it’s a rebadged Drayton MA1, so a new one of these should fit.

The board will come out after removal of the two brass machine screws through the microswitches holes that is holding it in place. Photos as per the link I posted. Unless they've altered the design significantly and they are no longer screws?

Or a new one will fix it.
Head alone may be more than a complete valve from some places.
