Pete. These are the photos that I was trying to direct you to earlier.
The first picture (420)shows the general arrangement with the blue MPA and the silver Honeywell Motorised valve above it.
The closer view of the MPA (428)shows that the Valve position indicator is actually against the wall and cannot be viewed.
The final picture is of the Honeywell Zone Valve.
As I was trying to explain, I've only been in the house since Aug last year and not sure the heating has ever worked properly in the time I've been here.
The MPA is hot at the feed to it and the branch to the left goes to the rads which are working fine. The branch to the right goes to the water cylinder via the Zone valve but either the MPA or the Zone valve is not working properly because the leg to the water cylider is cold - when both CH and HW are programmed to run.
I cannot view the the valve position indicator as the way the MPA has been installed means that it is up against the wall.
Should I just cut my losses and replace the MPA. If so, how can I mount it so that I can see the valve postion indicator in the future??
