The central heating output from this boiler works perfectly, but there is no hot water. When the hot tap is opened, only cold water comes straight through - the boiler makes no attempt to fire at all. There is no clicking or any other noise from the boiler - would it be a fair assumption that the flow switch/diaphragm in the diverter valve is suspect? If so, can these be overhauled or is a new one required? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The boiler is a 2002 model.

Turn the heating on and see if you get hot water.
If you do then probably the diaphragm.
Simple and cheap job if it's the mechanical clock model Biasi.

I think you have assumed correctly ;)

The flow switch is not activating.

If you remove the front cover, three screws on top. turn on tap and observe the micro swtch, what does or does'nt happen.
