Can anybody give me some advice please. My Biasi Combi boiler is running hot and cold water as it seems the diverter valve is opening and closing every couple of secods for some reason. I have checked the diverter valve and it seems to work freely and not jam. It sounds like the solenoid valve is operating on and off every couple of seconds, however the burner remains a steady flame. I am led to believe when the hot tap is opened and the thermistor if faulty it would cause the gas valve to close down to reduce heat if water is too hot, so as the burner is not affected I assume this is not the problem. Would a split diaghram cause this or is it likley to be something else. Any advice or help would be welcome

You do seem to have some pre conceived ideas about boilers.
Have you removed the diverter valve motor and seen if its actually working up and down ( and getting hot )? You do need to put a bit of pressure on the pin though.
If that really was the problem ( unlikely ) then removing the motor would give you constand hot water.
