Hi

I have just had it installed and the circ pump is too noisy IMO. When all covers are removed it is not as bad and I could live with it.

Is this as good as it gets? Or would another brand of boiler be quieter?

Would it be an easy job to replace the boiler brand ( by a pro not me )and am I right in thinking I can return this for a refund? Just like any other appliance.

Or is the pump faulty?

thnaks in advance.

Hi

.........am I right in thinking I can return this for a refund? Just like any other appliance.

Are you serious?

Are you certain it's the pump and not the casing resonating? Or perhaps the fan.

Have you called the installer back...what does he have to say.

If its only just fitted its probably still got some air in it!

The stupid installer may have left the AAV closed.

If you must open it then just behind and above to the right of the pump is the AAV

It has a reddish bit on the top which should be clicked up.

But before you try that push it down in case its already in the "up" position.

If the installer is not discussing any problems with the customer then I am not impressed by him!

On reading the posting again it seems more likely that its mechanical resonance from the pump rather than air noise.

This may be as a result of unclipped pipes or pipes fitted under tension.

Sometimes, the effect can be reduced by loosening the connection from the heat exchanger above the pump and letting it settle at its most central position. Also loosening and tightening the screws under the pump for the same reason.
