BIASI RIVA COMPACT LOCK OUT

Hi there, over the last few weeks the boiler has had to be reset manually to get either hot water or CH.

Today all attempts at resetting the boiler have failed.

This is the sequence of events when starting up the boiler

1. switch CH or hot water tap on
2. igntion successful and flames light up with a constant clicking from the ignition
3. after 4 or 5 seconds the boiler locks out.

My understanding is that the boiler isnt registering that a flame has lit and so it cuts out. Any other ideas?

I have noticed in the past when the CH or hot water comes and STAYS on there isn't a clicking sound from the ignition.

could be flame rectification probe or lead. i would pull lead of board end and probe and check to see have you got continuity through it.
