We have recently had a new biomass boiler installed with a large buffer tank and then a hot water storage tank in the airing cupboard upstairs. My question is about timing the hot water. It is currently set to being on all the time but I don't know if this is necessary? I've only ever had a combi-boiler so not really had to worry about this before.

Although I am in most of the day with the little one, we only need minimal how water for washing up etc, should I be timing it for mornings and evenings when bathing/ showering or will the energy and cost savings be minimal?
