Does anyone know, what is the best position to erect a bird (Robin and Blue tit) box in my garden.

The garden at the back of the house is north facing?

The wife just got off the phone at the time nagging, about the bird box.

I put up a bird box in my garden with the entrance facing east, nothing used it. I altered it so the entrance faced north and within days blue tits were using it.
