Bisecting external mitres

So no room any more for a straight bit of battening and a set of pencil compasses, then? Not that I use them any more myself, because my mitre saw came with a nifty angle divider

Always room for a nice sharp pencil and a bit of timber then drawn on the floor boards (not the carpet unless masking tape is used first) I don't know about a compass thing.

What the problem is ? What the question is?

The issue I am having is cutting an external mitre to the correct angle.

It seems it needs to be cut at 47 degrees, my standard evolution mitre saw cuts to 45 max.

Basically use a couple of bits of 2x1.
cut them to confirm the angle

That's a really good method too

Turn the bit around

Mark the 47 degrees angle on the edges of your wood, then go to your saw, it will work ones side or the other
